Responsibilities
- Lead the discovery projects and build high-level designs to accomplish business needs while prioritizing cyber risk reduction.
- Manage the cybersecurity technology lifecycle from conception to service operation.
- Make design decisions aligning to security principles and coordinate with internal teams to build support for design decisions and favorable risk reduction outcomes.
- Build technical documentation for cybersecurity technology designs and operations, supporting the creation of associated security technology standards.
- Facilitate the ongoing review of cybersecurity technology designs and alignment to industry best practices.
- Support the diagnosis and resolution of cybersecurity technology issues as a subject matter expert.
- Ensure security designs meet business requirements and address risk.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Network Technologies, plus relevant professional certifications (F5, PCNSE, SANS, ISC2).
- 8+ years of experience across IT, networking, and cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge of web/network security protocols (HTTP/HTTPS) and OWASP Top 10 risks.
- Experience with IaC/Policy as Code and automating F5 security configurations (iControl REST, iRules).
- Hands-on expertise with NGFWs, WAFs, cloud proxies, and certificate management tools.
- Ability to design, build, and operate security technologies aligned with corporate standards and business needs.
- Skilled in gap analysis, troubleshooting performance/configuration issues, and developing remediation plans.
- Strong understanding of monitoring and testing practices for network security platforms.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
