In this role you will:

  • Lead the discovery projects and build high level designs to accomplish business needs while prioritizing cyber risk reduction.
  • Manage the cybersecurity technology lifecycle from conception to service operation.
  • Make design decisions aligning to security principles. Coordinate with internal teams to build support for design decisions and favorable risk reduction outcomes.
  • Build technical documentation for cybersecurity technology designs, operations and support the creation of associated security technology standards.
  • Facilitate the ongoing review of cybersecurity technology designs and alignment to industry best practices.
  • Support the diagnosis and resolution of cybersecurity technology issues as a subject matter expert.

Requirements

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Information Technology or a related discipline; professional cybersecurity certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC, AI or blockchain security) considered an advantage.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in cybersecurity, with demonstrated expertise across emerging technologies, governance, and risk management.
  • Proven experience delivering cybersecurity services within aviation or comparable safety-critical environments.
  • Strong understanding of safety-critical operations, including the interdependency between cybersecurity, safety, reliability, availability, and operational continuity.
  • Sound knowledge of aviation IT systems, architectures, and technology domains, including aircraft-related and passenger-facing environments (e.g. Aircraft Control, Aircraft Information Services, Passenger Information & Entertainment Systems).
  • Experience with aviation and operational platforms such as E‑OPS, e‑Enabling, Electronic Flight Bags (EFB), or equivalent systems in other regulated industries.
  • Hands-on expertise in cybersecurity technologies, industrial/operational protocols, and network security design, including segmentation, DMZ concepts, firewalls, IDS/IPS, IAM/PAM, SIEM, and OT/aviation environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of international cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and aviation regulations, including NIST CSF, ISA/IEC 62443, and aviation-specific regulations (e.g. GCAA, EASA Part-IS, ED-203A, EUROCAE).
  • Experience conducting security assessments, vulnerability reviews, and risk assessments for aviation systems.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations relevant to cyber-physical and aviation environments, such as: NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)/ ISA/IEC 62443/Aviation-specific standards and regulations (e.g. GCAA, EASA Part-IS, ED-203A, EUROCAE).
