As part of the Steer Studios team, you will collaborate with elite global gaming talents who have relocated to Riyadh, alongside innovative and dedicated local professionals. We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst who will have a direct impact on game production, business strategies, and market approaches. In this role, you will work closely with production teams to ensure that features, creative assets, and in-game content are successful.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze consumer behaviors to gain insights through data.
- Develop solutions for customer segmentation, targeting, propensity modeling, churn modeling, lifetime value estimation, forecasting, recommendation systems, and price optimization.
- Structure experiments and create mathematical models to identify game optimization opportunities that enhance player experience.
- Implement testing techniques to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of business initiatives.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses of game data and study market behavior within the mobile games industry.
- Create clear visualizations to effectively communicate complex data to other departments and stakeholders.
- Report findings to the Head of the division and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications & Key Skills
- Experience in the mobile gaming industry is essential.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong applied statistics skills, including knowledge of distributions, statistical testing, and regression analysis.
- Proficiency with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, and MATLAB.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to build rapport with various stakeholders.
- Expert knowledge in SQL and RDBMS concepts, with experience working with large datasets.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, R, or Perl.
- Experience in visually communicating results and collaborating with designers, producers, and marketing teams.
- Familiarity with data pipelines and modeling in a production environment.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
