Position
As part of the Steer Studios team, you will collaborate with top gaming talent from around the world, all gathered in Riyadh to contribute to our ambitious projects. We are currently seeking a Senior Data Analyst who will play a critical role in influencing game production, business strategies, and market approaches. As a data expert, you will work closely with production teams to ensure the success of all game features, creative assets, and in-game content. Your collaboration will extend to Game, User Acquisition, Monetization, and Customer Marketing teams, enabling a deep understanding of player interactions and content optimization based on player behavior.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze consumer behaviors to gain insights from data.
- Create solutions for customer segmentation, propensity modeling, churn modeling, lifetime value estimation, forecasting, recommendation systems, and price optimization.
- Structure experiments and develop mathematical models to identify optimization points for game developers, enhancing the overall player experience.
- Utilize testing methodologies to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of business initiatives.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis of game data and market behavior within the mobile gaming industry.
- Develop clear visualizations to communicate complex data simply to other departments and stakeholders.
- Communicate findings and reports to the Head of the division and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications & Key Skills
- Relevant experience in the mobile gaming field is essential.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or an equivalent field.
- Strong applied statistics skills, including knowledge of distributions, statistical testing, and regression analysis.
- Proficient with data science tools like R, Weka, NumPy, and MATLAB.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Expertise in SQL and RDBMS concepts, including experience with large datasets.
- Programming skills in languages such as Java, Scala, Python, R, or Perl.
- Experience in visually communicating results and collaborating with designers, producers, and marketing teams.
- Familiarity with data pipelines and modeling within a production environment.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
