Job Summary:
As a Senior Data Architect, you will be responsible for leading the development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing business and IT data requirements across relational, dimensional, and NoSQL platforms.
- Defining and enforcing data modelling and design standards, tools, and best practices.
- Overseeing the implementation of RDBMS, operational data stores (ODS), data marts, and data lakes.
- Identifying architecture, infrastructure, and interfaces to data sources, ensuring security and analytic model support.
- Optimizing data query performance through best practices and identifying improvement areas in current data systems.
- Collaborating with teams to address project requirements and reduce delivery risks.
- Supporting the development of data tools for reporting, visualization, analytics, and machine learning.
- Designing and managing data infrastructure to extract, organize, and store data for authorized users.
- Identifying internal and external data sources within the organization while ensuring data accuracy, security, and accessibility.
Requirements:
- Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling, with hands-on experience in data warehouse and data lake design approaches (Inmon & Kimball methodologies).
- Hands-on experience with RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and Cloudera CDP technologies.
- Proven experience in defining and implementing data architecture strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in performance tuning for data queries.
- Understanding of data modelling and design standards, tools, and best practices.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills for proactive project support.
- Experience with modelling tools like ERWIN.
