The Data Center Operations Team is responsible for managing planning, hardware installation and configuration, optimization, operations, and ongoing maintenance of the data center. Key responsibilities include overseeing systems performance, monitoring equipment, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Location: Riyadh Region (Remote)
Work Conditions: Full-time, available for 24/7 support as needed, open to travel domestically and internationally, willing to work during off-hours for scheduled maintenance, emergencies, and on-call situations. Candidates must be open to relocating to Neom, Tabuk, or Dammam.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal Service-Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Hands-on experience in hardware replacement with servers and network appliances.
- Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures while performing work.
- Conduct regular audits as required.
- Extensive experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center IT equipment.
- Manage vendors in a data center environment.
- Coordinate onsite delivery and shipping of all equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related IT field with relevant certifications and/or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in data center operations with hands-on experience working with racks and servers.
- Working knowledge of networking/server architecture and hardware.
- Strong focus on process orientation and experience in developing processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent communication, customer focus, problem-solving, conflict management, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in building new data center sites and taking ownership of ongoing responsibilities.
- Excellent documentation skills, particularly in technical processes and standards.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams on technical projects.
- Technical understanding of data center facilities and infrastructure, including power, HVAC, structured cabling, and rack management.
- Experience with ITIL process methodologies, CCNA, CompTIA Hardware, CISCO, and Juniper networking devices.
