About the Job:
As Google's products and services grow to serve our billions of users, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future. This role involves everything from operating underwater cables to finding data center space. You will combine deep market knowledge with tech industry savvy to find solutions that support Google's growth. Working with specific teams, you will oversee vendor and partner relationships, impacting every part of the business and saving Google millions of dollars in operating costs.
You will ensure contract compliance on third-party agreements while identifying the most cost-effective solutions. As a Data Center Strategic Negotiator, you will identify locations and sites for self-developed data centers and establish agreements with landowners, economic development officials, and utility companies, as well as manage discussions for purchase and service agreements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-project infrastructure initiatives with internal and external technical teams to identify and pursue new site selection projects.
  • Manage the data center site evaluation and selection process, providing regular status reports and advocating financial metrics for site decisions.
  • Lead the acquisition of data centers and develop agreements with vendors, landowners, and key suppliers for land and utility services.
  • Develop and execute strategies for ongoing growth at existing sites, tracking and advocating portfolio management issues related to site/infrastructure development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Finance, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience negotiating bilateral real estate agreements and managing projects of varying sizes and timelines.
  • 5 years of experience working in Middle East markets.
  • Experience in data center location strategy or industrial strategy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in power transmission and distribution, telecommunications infrastructure, and data center technology.
  • Knowledge of real estate markets within the Middle East, including collation agreements and site selection for industrial-scale projects.
  • Experience in agreement drafting/redlining, financial modeling, and economic development policy.

Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time
Travel Requirement: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time as needed.
