Position

As a the company Senior Data Center Technician (DCT), you will demonstrate expertise in standard processes and procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and/or decommissioning equipment. You will provide input for suggested modifications to these processes and procedures to improve service quality and efficiency while providing guidance to other technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise to quickly identify issues.
  • Decommission hardware for complex changes while following standard procedures.
  • Delegate installation, deployment, and replacement tasks to technicians, providing guidance for setup and execution.
  • Ensure quality execution by coordinating downtime and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Assist technicians with complex tasks and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Verify post-execution quality checks comply with safety protocols and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
  • Maintain awareness of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through dashboards and discussions.
  • Train and mentor technicians through direct guidance and on-the-job training.
  • Complete safety briefings and training to ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Embrace and promote the company’s culture and values.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
  • Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in a production, mission-critical 24x7x365 data center environment.
  • Applicable certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+) or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).

This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
