Position

The Senior Data Center Technician will define, design, and implement network communications and solutions within a fast-paced, leading-edge database/applications company. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead site operations and engineers efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide technical direction to local site technicians on all levels.
  • Execute small projects independently and assist in planning larger projects.
  • Maintain operational efficiency and prepare the team for future challenges.
  • Write, enhance, and update documentation, processes, and procedures.
  • Handle audits and adhere strictly to site compliance standards.
  • Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware.
  • Act as HW support expert liaison to other technical teams and non-technical teams.

Work Conditions:

  • The position involves on-call duties, requiring a driving license to reach the Data Center site within approximately 60 minutes.
  • May require working in cramped spaces or elevated locations.
  • Additional on-premise work at customer locations may be required.

Language Requirements:

  • Good command of English (oral & written) is required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in IT Infrastructure support and server administration in a mid-sized environment (200 - 1000+ server systems).
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with Health & Safety processes at all times.
  • Strong service orientation, reliability, and self-motivation.
  • Knowledge of data center design, including electrical and cooling plant & operation.
  • Systems administration experience (Linux and/or Windows Servers).
  • Networking fundamentals knowledge (DNS, TCP/IP, basic troubleshooting).
