Senior Data Center Technician

As a Senior Data Center Technician (DCT), you will demonstrate expertise in standard processes and procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and/or decommissioning equipment. You will ensure a holistic understanding of the functions of and interactions between network and server equipment. Provide input for suggested modifications to these processes and procedures as needed to improve service quality and efficiency while offering guidance to other technicians.

The company's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. You will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for the company's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the company's Azure platform.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise to quickly identify the cause(s) of issues.
• Decommission hardware for complex changes and/or systems with complex interactions (e.g., upgrading entire racks) following standard procedures.
• Delegate hardware installation, deployment, and/or replacement work to technicians while providing expert guidance for preparing, staging, setting up.
