We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Data Engineer for a contract role in Abu Dhabi. Location: Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions:
- On-site

- Contract Duration: 6 months (renewable to long-term)
- Notice Period: 15 days or less (Immediate joiners highly preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement data quality rules, validation checks, and data quality scorecards.
- Perform in-depth data profiling to identify anomalies, gaps, and quality issues.
- Build and automate workflows for data cleansing, standardization, and deduplication.
- Integrate and enforce data quality checks within ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows.
- Develop and maintain data quality dashboards and reports to monitor data health and performance.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Governance teams to resolve data issues.
- Document metadata, data quality rule logic, and maintain data dictionaries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- Strong SQL skills for complex data querying, profiling, and validation.
- Sound understanding of the end-to-end data quality lifecycle and its implementation.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks for building and managing data pipelines with integrated data quality checks.
Core Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with Python for data cleaning and automation scripts.
- Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and basic data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Atlan and BI (MANDATORY).
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with leading Data Quality tools (e.g., Informatica IDQ, Talend, Azure Purview, Collibra DQ, Ataccama).
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms like Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
