As a key member of our consultancy, you will own the data foundations that analytics and AI rely on. This role involves leading the engineering of cloud data platforms and lakehouse solutions, overseeing everything from source integration and modeling to deployment, performance tuning, and reliable operation. You will be at the forefront of our data engineering services, which encompass platform modernization, analytics engineering, and DataOps, working with a variety of technologies including AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Google Cloud, and on-premises solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Design and deliver batch or streaming pipelines that integrate operational databases, APIs, files, and event sources.
  • Build maintainable data models and transformations for analytics, governed metrics, and AI applications.
  • Implement lakehouse or warehouse architectures, selecting appropriate storage formats, partitioning, and processing strategies.
  • Establish data quality tests, orchestration, lineage, monitoring, and recovery procedures; investigate incidents and eliminate recurring issues.
  • Manage infrastructure and deployments through version control, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD, ensuring appropriate access controls.
  • Lead technical delivery with customers and colleagues, review code, and document decisions necessary for platform operation and extension.

What You Bring

  • Substantial experience in delivering and operating production data platforms, including responsibility for technical decisions and service reliability.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, solid data modeling skills, and a practical understanding of distributed processing and orchestration.
  • In-depth knowledge in at least one major environment, such as AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or Google Cloud, with the capability to evaluate alternatives.
  • Experience with tools such as dbt, Airflow, or Dagster, as well as familiarity with testing, Git, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
  • Ability to explain performance and cost trade-offs, scope deliverables, and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders in English.
  • Experience with Apache Iceberg, Spark, Kafka, Terraform, or data foundations for RAG and AI agents is advantageous. Relevant AWS or other certifications will strengthen your application, although demonstrable delivery experience is paramount.

What You Can Expect

In this position, you will be responsible for substantial engineering work, collaborating directly with the founders to influence our reusable delivery patterns. The role merges implementation with platform architecture and practical technical consulting, providing a unique opportunity to shape the future of our data initiatives.
