We are in search of a talented and passionate Data Engineer to enhance our data engineering capabilities at Property Finder in Dubai. In this role, you will drive the development and maintenance of sophisticated data solutions and build data pipelines in batch and real-time. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to building self-service data layers, and provide crucial insights to align data architecture with broader business strategies. Work Conditions: Full-time, On-site Reports To: Director of Data Engineering Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement real-time data pipelines in the Cloud. - Design and implement complex ETL solutions for large datasets. - Optimize and fine-tune SQL and/or Python code for performance. - Design and maintain data models for efficient storage and retrieval. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipeline performance. - Build and maintain self-service datasets to accelerate data democratization efforts. - Contribute to initiatives for managing and optimizing infrastructure. - Implement best practices for version control and collaboration in Terraform. Essential Experience: - 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer. - Experience with pub-sub, queuing, and streaming frameworks such as AWS Kinesis, Kafka, SQS, SNS. - Experience in real-time processing engines like Apache Flink, Apache Spark, etc. - Proficiency in programming languages like Java/Scala and Python. - Experience with ETL/ELT, batch, and streaming data processing pipelines. Other Desired Experience: - Experience with Dubai Land Department or within Real Estate is desirable. - Familiarity with modern cloud data warehousing and data lake solutions like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift. - Proficiency in AWS services (S3, DMS, Glue, Athena, EKS, etc.). - Familiarity with ETL tools like FiveTran, DBT, and Airbyte. - Experience with orchestration tools like Dagster, Airflow, AWS Step Functions, etc. Our Promise to Talent: At Property Finder, we believe talent thrives in an environment where you can be your best self.
