Key responsibilities include:
- Developing a data architecture vision and standards in conjunction with business users and data stewards.
- Creating data exchange standards to ensure reusability and support a decoupled architecture.
- Establishing standards for data archival and purging.
- Identifying and documenting critical data elements across source systems.
- Collaborating with data engineers and source system experts to define data standards and principles.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related field.
- Over 6 years of experience in IT, with 5 years specifically in data engineering, architecture, and technology solution implementation.
- Extensive experience in the banking services domain or a related field.
- Proven expertise in Data Architecture, Data Strategy, and the implementation of large-scale Data Management and Analytics solutions.
- Demonstrated experience transforming traditional Data Warehousing approaches to Big Data-based methods and managing risks associated with data security.
- Strong knowledge of DW dimensional modeling techniques, including Star and Snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, and dimensional hierarchies.
- Familiarity with cloud-native principles, designs, and deployments, along with CI/CD environments.
- Expertise in Data Quality, Data Profiling, Data Governance, and Metadata Management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Proficient in problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with data processing frameworks and platforms such as Hadoop, MongoDB, Tez, Hive, and Spark.
- Hands-on experience with big data platforms and languages, including Linux, Python, PySpark, GIT, and Jenkins.
