As a Data Engineer Consultant, you will design, develop, and manage data solutions that facilitate data generation, collection, and processing. You will take ownership of critical engineering components, from data pipelines to ETL flows, ensure data quality, and enable robust insights. Your responsibilities will include acting as a subject matter expert, collaborating across various teams, influencing strategic decisions, and ensuring seamless delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows for transforming and loading large datasets while ensuring efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Conduct assessments to ensure data integrity and consistency; implement validation and monitoring mechanisms across pipelines.
- Develop high-performance data solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve customer experience.
- Collaborate with product teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective data solutions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and guide technical decisions; mentor team members on best practices.
- Monitor performance of pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements for scalability and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 8–12 years in data engineering with strong expertise in ETL and data pipelines.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related analytical field.
- Advanced proficiency in data engineering, data processing, migrations, access, and pipeline development.
- Strong skills in SQL, Python, and modern data frameworks/tools (e.g., Airflow, Spark, Hadoop).
- Proficient in ETL tools and processes, capable of designing scalable and efficient data architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data storage technologies.
- Experience in working with multiple teams to identify requirements and deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Proven decision-making capabilities in collaborative environments.
