The Central Data Team (CDT) is building the company's Data Platform to ensure that team members and AI agents can access and utilize data effectively. As one of the early hires in CDT, you will play a crucial role in shaping the team and contributing to critical decisions and projects.
Responsibilities
- Build streaming and batch pipelines for market, trading, and portfolio data.
- Develop self-serve tooling for data publishing and consumption.
- Manage data contracts and schema evolution to facilitate coordination.
- Design the lakehouse and time-series layers based on query patterns.
- Establish Data Governance and Data Quality Framework.
- Create analytics for business operations, including portfolio views and performance tracking.
- Ensure observability, cost, and performance are prioritized.
- Collaborate openly with various teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years in building production data systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Python and SQL; understanding of data modelling for streaming and analytical workloads; experience with systems such as Kafka, Redpanda, or Kinesis.
- Systems Design: Familiarity with time-series databases and lakehouse architectures.
- Operational Readiness: Proficient with Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD, with a focus on cost and performance.
