Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a 9-month extendable onsite contract based in Dubai. This role is key to building and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports mission-critical analytics and data initiatives across the organization. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data pipelines, working closely with data scientists, analysts, and other technical teams to ensure seamless data integration and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
• Build and optimize data architectures using cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Handle large-scale structured and unstructured data across multiple systems.
• Improve data models and ensure optimal performance for BI and analytics tools.
• Monitor data integrity, quality, and performance across all pipelines and platforms.
• Support the migration of legacy data systems to modern cloud-based solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with business goals.
• Document data flows, structures, and systems for governance and transparency.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer.
• Proven expertise in cloud-based data services (Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, GCP Dataflow, etc.).
• Strong command of SQL, Python, or Scala for data engineering tasks.
• Experience with big data tools like Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, etc.
• Familiarity with modern data warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Knowledge of DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
