We are seeking a qualified Senior Data Engineer who will assess, analyze, and work with data concepts and complex data sources to provide business insights. The role involves supporting the implementation and integration of these data sources into the company AI platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solve challenging problems utilizing Python, Java, and SQL coding skills.
  • Design, build, and launch new data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes in production.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of traditional and modern data platforms, reading and collating complex data sets.
  • Implement complex ETL solutions for large datasets and optimize SQL and Python code for performance.
  • Focus on process improvement to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide insights into key business performance metrics through the development of analytical tools and modeling data for efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Support the wider business with data needs on an ad hoc basis.
  • Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, and Governance policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 6+ years of programming experience with solid coding skills in Python, Shell, and Java.
  • Good communication skills and experience with solution architecture, data modeling, query optimization, and ETL/ELT concepts.
  • Knowledge of data platforms, including data lake, data warehouse, and big data processing.
  • Proficiency in SQL/PLSQL (preferably in Clickhouse or any other column-based databases) and programming languages (preferably Java, Python).
  • Experience in handling Big Data and knowledge of machine learning and data mining techniques.
