Senior Data Modeler

Main Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business units and data analysts to translate requirements into scalable data models.
• Develop and Maintain Data Models: Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models on the data warehouse platform.
• Data Advocacy: Guide data-driven decisions and foster a culture of data literacy.
• Dependency and Project Management: Manage dependencies and timelines to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Optimize Data Systems: Enhance data systems for improved quality, reliability, and delivery speed.
• Data Governance Standards: Contribute to establishing data governance standards across the organization.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in data modeling or a similar role.
• Data Modeling Expertise: Proficient in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling with knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills and experience with Python; familiarity with Snowflake or similar platforms is preferred.
• ETL Skills: Strong experience with ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative Spirit: Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing relationships with analysts and data engineering.

Additional Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Tableau, Airflow, and Snowflake is a strong plus.
• Background in a startup or fast-paced environment where data plays a key role in decision-making.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and standards.
