Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business units and data analysts to translate requirements into scalable data models.
- Develop and Maintain Data Models: Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models on the data warehouse platform.
- Data Advocacy: Guide data-driven decisions and foster a culture of data literacy.
- Dependency and Project Management: Manage dependencies and timelines to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Optimize Data Systems: Enhance data systems for improved quality, reliability, and delivery speed.
- Data Governance Standards: Contribute to establishing data governance standards across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in data modeling or a similar role.
- Data Modeling Expertise: Proficient in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling with knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills and experience with Python; familiarity with Snowflake or similar platforms is preferred.
- ETL Skills: Strong experience with ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex data concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborative Spirit: Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing relationships with analysts and data engineering.
Additional Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Tableau, Airflow, and Snowflake is a strong plus.
- Background in a startup or fast-paced environment where data plays a key role in decision-making.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and standards.
