Responsibilities
- Translate business needs into a robust data model for applications & related systems, providing necessary expertise in data modeling tools and techniques across the company.
- Coordinate with multiple technical teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions, identify and define necessary system enhancements, and continuously deploy new products & process improvements.
- Work with business and solutions teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual, logical or physical data models.
- Analyze source systems to understand the data and develop data models.
- Define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models.
- Review data and identify data anomalies that hinder the evolution to future state architecture.
- Prepare documents for data architecture and maintain a knowledge base for the data structure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in creation of logical and physical data models.
- 5 years of experience as data modeler/data architect in the analytics industry.
- Experience in working with model tools like Erwin, Ida etc. to execute model life cycle from conceptual till physical.
- Highly experienced in defining granularity and identifying facts and dimensions to model dimensional models such as snowflake and star schema based on business requirements.
