As a Senior Data Scientist, you will scope, design, and implement machine learning models that support use case execution aimed at achieving overall objectives and targets. This role requires a high level of collaboration with product owners, business translators, data warehousing, and data engineering teams to create big data applications using both structured and unstructured data.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering a robust roadmap of advanced analytics projects in collaboration with Business Units.
- Designing and implementing machine-learning models to support various business initiatives.
- Documenting artefacts and maintaining reusable code.
- Achieving personal technical development and learning goals.
- Conducting knowledge-sharing sessions internally and externally.
Education Requirements:
- University degree.
- Advanced degree (MS/Ph.D.) in Computer Applications, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline with high analytical rigor is desirable.
Experience:
- 6-8 years of experience in a data science role is essential.
- Proven experience in defining analytics roadmaps and leading analytics engagements.
- Experience with programming in R or Python.
- Proficiency in working with large datasets and using distributed computing tools (Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.) is essential.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in agile environments with multiple business stakeholders.
- Compelling communication skills and excellent stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to foster an entrepreneurial spirit and curiosity among team members.
