Work Conditions:
Full-time, 4 days a week in office & 1 day from home, with the option to work remotely from any country for 30 days a year. Unlimited vacation days are offered.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the AI transformation for the Careem app with a focus on personalization.
- Develop long-term strategies for customer acquisition and engagement through data-driven decision-making.
- Conduct exploratory analyses to understand user behavior and identify growth opportunities.
- Shape data/ML models to optimize product experiences.
- Provide product leadership with data-based recommendations and insights.
- Implement scalable machine learning algorithms for big data.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover growth and optimization potentials.
- Define and track relevant metrics, design controlled experiments, and communicate results.
- Investigate new data processing technologies and adhere to industry best practices.
- Build and deploy retrieval-augmented generation systems using large language models.
Requirements:
- 5-6 years of experience in data mining, predictive modeling, time series analysis, machine learning, and Big Data methodologies.
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field (Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science).
- Solid experience with Deep Learning Techniques and at least 1-2 years in personalization, recommendation, or search in a product-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and coding skills.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and Hive.
- Understanding of AB testing, classic machine learning, and deep learning.
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., Hadoop, BigQuery, Oracle) and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Qlik) is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills.
