Presight, in partnership with ADNOC, seeks a Senior Data Scientist to join AIQ, a joint venture based in Abu Dhabi focusing on the development of artificial intelligence technologies. This role involves working in the Oil and Gas sector, specifically upstream production modeling and optimization. The primary objective is to analyze data and deliver actionable recommendations that enhance production management and maximize operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop next-generation AI-enabled software products for the oil and gas industry.
- Formalize Oil and Gas problems into AI challenges.
- Translate business objectives into actionable analyses and insights.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and subject matter experts to design solutions.
- Prepare and preprocess data for analysis, ensuring quality control.
- Create large-scale labeled databases in conjunction with the annotation team.
- Conduct experiments to improve trained Large Language Models (LLMs) like BERT and GPT.
- Lead the design and implementation of LLM architectures for NLP tasks.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party tools to enhance model capabilities.
- Stay updated on advancements in NLP and machine learning, and apply state-of-the-art AI techniques to existing solutions.
- Prepare and visualize analytical results, communicating findings through presentations and reports.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Natural Language Processing and deep learning algorithms.
- Knowledge of large language model architecture, particularly Transformer-based models.
- Experience in training large-scale language models and data preprocessing for NLP tasks.
- Familiarity with transfer learning and design of effective models for handling ambiguity and context in text.
- Proven ability to develop AI algorithms for real-world applications and conduct algorithm efficiency testing.
- Strong programming skills in Python and knowledge of machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience with advanced fine-tuning techniques and familiarity with development tools like PyCharm and Jupyter.
Educational Requirements:
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or an AI-related field.
