Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in Oracle and Redis database technologies and will be responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, tuning, and support of these database systems in both development and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable Oracle and Redis database environments.
  • Perform regular database health checks, performance tuning, capacity planning, and backups.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Implement security and access controls in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Plan and implement database migrations, upgrades, and patching.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and provide 24x7 support for mission-critical systems.
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams for database-related requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability across all environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
  • Proven expertise in Oracle Database Administration (11g/12c/19c) including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
  • Strong experience in Redis (both standalone and clustered environments).
  • Hands-on experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
  • Experience with database monitoring tools and technologies.
  • Solid understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure).
  • Scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, etc.) for automation tasks.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English is required.
