Senior Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our technology team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-transaction B2C environments and is passionate about optimizing performance, ensuring security, and leveraging the power of Azure cloud infrastructure.

Location: Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, maintain, and optimize MySQL databases for performance and scalability.
• Manage and monitor Azure database services, including disaster recovery and cloud integration.
• Tune queries, analyze performance issues, and support development teams with best practices.
• Provide 24/7 support for critical systems and participate in on-call rotations.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
• Document configurations and deliver regular reports on database health and KPIs.

What You’ll Bring:

• 8+ years as a MySQL DBA in high-volume environments.
• Strong expertise with Azure SQL, Managed Instances, and Data Factory.
• Deep knowledge of database security, cloud infrastructure, and ITIL frameworks.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, CI/CD tools, and data analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Databricks) is a plus.
