The Professional Services team significantly influences the success of each implementation for customers. This team engages with clients during both the pre-sales and post-sales stages to assist in their software-defined data center (SDDC) strategy and architecture. In addition to successfully implementing products, the team ensures customer success in fully adopting their virtualized and software-defined data centers.
Your Role:
- Engage with clients to compare and contrast various database technologies and provide value propositions based on the client’s application landscape.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and manage database services utilizing on both on-premise and NC2 Cloud.
- Provide database consultancy services to existing and potential customers.
- Evangelize the platform to Application owners, DBAs, and management.
- Participate in pre-sales efforts to provide services overlay to existing sales motions primarily as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Create toolkits, best practice documents, and whitepapers.
What You Will Bring:
- Minimum of 3 years of database experience in Oracle, SQL Server, or other commercial/open-source database platforms, preferably in large-scale environments.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in database implementation (e.g., Oracle, Oracle RAC, SQL Server, SQL Server Always On).
- Experience with multiple Cloud Environments for database migrations (Oracle/MySQL/Postgres).
- Experience operating mission-critical database applications in on-premise, cloud, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience in migrating mission-critical database environments between platforms.
- Expertise in high availability, disaster recovery, and server tuning strategies.
- Experience with scripting and automation, and proficiency in writing and reading SQL queries.
- Knowledge of replication technologies such as Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Dataguard, and SQL Server Log-Shipping.
- Database design experience in virtual environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently (a good team player).
- Knowledge and operational experience of Open Source databases like MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL is a plus.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in Arabic and English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a bonus.
