The Senior Development Manager provides oversight to ensure execution excellence in the delivery of all phases of detailed design projects under their direction. Responsibilities include ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and on-schedule completion of design projects within budget and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the efficient analysis, synthesis, and recommendation of conceptual design alternatives in collaboration with the Lead Designer and/or Design Director.
  • Supervise the preparation, design, and presentation of high-quality urban design concept drawings and reports.
  • Oversee the preparation of technical design packages through to tender and monitor construction quality.
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Discipline Leads, and internal and external team members including master planners, architects, urban designers, and engineering disciplines.
  • Plan, program, and delegate tasks within the team structure while participating in workflow reporting and planning.
  • Maintain high-level liaison with Clients and Client representatives.
  • Participate in writing technical proposals, estimating levels of effort, work plans, and schedules.
  • Stay informed about trends and technologies by maintaining affiliations with professional societies.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the masterplan/urban design field with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience managing teams at established Architecture/Engineering firms or on the client side.
  • Competence in working with developers is preferred.
  • Proven leadership and delivery capability.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
