Senior Development Manager

The Senior Development Manager provides oversight to ensure execution excellence in the delivery of all phases of detailed design projects under their direction. Responsibilities include technical excellence in tasks and analyses performed, regulatory compliance, and on-schedule completion of design projects within or below budget as per contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in close coordination with the Lead Designer and/or Design Director to lead and direct the efficient analysis and recommendation of conceptual design alternatives.
• Supervise the preparation, design, and presentation of high-quality urban design concept drawings and reports.
• Monitor construction quality and supervise the preparation of technical design packages through to tender.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Discipline Leads, and team members, including master planners, architects, and engineers.
• Participate in writing technical proposals, estimating levels of effort, work plans, and schedules.
• Maintain affiliations with professional societies to keep current with trends and technologies.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in the masterplan/urban design field with increasing responsibilities.
• Experience managing teams in established Architecture/Engineering firms or on the client side.
• Familiarity with UAE-based municipalities and developers.
• Proven leadership and delivery ability.
• Knowledge of LEED and ESTIDAMA principles; certification is preferred.
• Excellent English verbal and writing skills.
