The Senior Development Manager provides oversight to ensure execution excellence in the delivery of all phases of detailed design projects under his/her direction. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating closely with the Lead Designer and/or Design Director to analyze, synthesize, and recommend conceptual design alternatives that establish and communicate the design vision for landscape architectural projects.
  • Supervising the preparation, design, and presentation of high-quality urban design concept drawings and reports.
  • Overseeing the preparation of technical design packages through to tender and monitoring construction quality.
  • Liaising with Project Managers, Discipline Leads, internal and external team members, including master planners, architects, urban designers, specialist designers, and quantity surveyors.
  • Planning, programming, and delegating within the team structure while participating in workflow reporting and planning.
  • Maintaining high-level liaison with Clients and Client’s representatives.
  • Participating in writing technical proposals, estimating levels of effort, work plans, and schedules as required.
  • Staying connected with professional societies to keep abreast of trends and technologies in the field.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the masterplan/urban design field with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience managing groups for established Architecture/Engineering firms or from the client side.
  • Experience dealing with UAE-based municipalities and developers.
  • Proven leadership and delivery ability.
  • Knowledge of LEED and ESTIDAMA principles (certification preferred).
  • Excellent English verbal and writing skills.
