Roles & Responsibilities
- Participate in the definition of the system requirements and specifications
- Maintain the internal development infrastructure and tools
- Maintain the physical infrastructure
- Maintain and enhance the tools
- Develop code to manage infrastructure and cyber services
- Write code to automate deployment and configuration of services
- Write unit tests to ensure module-level functionality and data integrity
- Perform code peer review
- Document and comment code
- Follow up on issues and team backlog activities
- Provide documentation on deliveries and installation & test procedures
- Provide technical support for other multi-disciplinary teams e.g. system engineering team, integration/test/verification/qualification teams, deployment teams
- Perform root cause analysis for errors
- Deploy and assist with maintenance of automation technologies
- Train and coach other team members in DevOps competencies
Work Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of DevOps experience
- Experience in IT Infrastructure subsystems (network, communication, datacenter, virtualization, software integration, etc.)
- Experience with a number of the following tools and technologies
- Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery tooling e.g. Jenkins, GitLab
- Configuration management and Infrastructure-as-code tools e.g. Ansible, Terraform
- Excellent knowledge of container orchestration tools e.g. Docker Swarm
- Major operating system families e.g. Linux, Windows
- Excellent knowledge of Git and Git workflows
- Excellent scripting skills (Python, Bash)
- Good understanding of the following
- Security relevant protocols and technologies e.g. network security, endpoint security, virtualization and container security, server hardening, PKI
- Service Oriented Architecture, REST services, microservices
- Databases e.g. PostgreSQL
- Preferably experience with Agile methodologies, including appropriate tooling (e.g. Jira)
Qualification & Educational Requirements
- BSc in computer science or equivalent qualification
- Fluent in English; Arabic and/or French are added advantages
- Relevant industry certifications e.g. system & network operations, cyber security, DevOps/software development
