The Senior DevOps Engineer at Core42 designs, provisions, and manages scalable infrastructure, diverse applications, and automation tools to ensure seamless delivery of features and services across various projects and platforms. Collaborating with development teams and stakeholders, the Senior DevOps Engineer ensures safe and efficient deployment of applications, implementing technical solutions for optimizing system reliability and performance.
At Core42, the focus is on enabling cloud and generative AI on a national scale in the UAE by combining expertise in technology disciplines. The responsibilities of the role include mentoring and developing DevOps engineers, participating in strategic project initiatives, collaborating on technology stack design, managing infrastructure as code (IaC), deploying applications using CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring performance indicators.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a relevant technology field
- Proven experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer with a focus on Cloud Environments
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure and AWS
- 7+ years of experience in Linux-based environments and 5+ years in DevOps engineering
- Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible
- Deep understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, GitLab CI/CD, and GitOps practices
- Proficiency in programming/scripting with Python, Golang, and bash
- Experience with container technologies and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools such as Loki, Prometheus, Grafana
- Familiarity with web-related technologies, network stacks/protocols, and database engines
