We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Operations squad. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building high-performance, scalable, mission-critical, and secure systems in the cloud to further enhance our infrastructure using tools such as Kubernetes and Terraform. Your role will involve driving the evolution of major parts of our growing platform, which serves millions of customers across multiple countries. You will be part of an amazing and diverse team, continuously learning and sharing knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain scalable, cost-effective, and reliable systems using technologies such as Kubernetes in the GCP cloud environment.
- Improve our CI/CD processes and increase automation to boost efficiency.
- Play a key role in incident management and support engineering teams with their infrastructure needs.
- Develop infrastructure as code as needed.
- Introduce processes, documentation, best practices, and tools that enhance productivity for engineering teams.
- Automate deployment and scaling processes to minimize downtime.
- Continuously improve infrastructure and processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Experience and Skills Required:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role maintaining large-scale, distributed cloud environments.
- Strong experience with Linux administration and scripting languages (Bash, Python, TypeScript).
- Proven experience with Containers and Container Orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven experience with configuration management tools (Terraform, CDK for Terraform, Pulumi).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and services (GCP, AWS, Azure) with at least 1 year in GCP.
- Previous experience with CI/CD processes and Node.js or Python.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and security best practices.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) is advantageous.
- Experience with ElasticSearch, LogStash, Kibana, Prometheus, and Grafana is a plus.
