Role Overview
As a Senior DevOps Engineer within our Cloud Management Platform (CMP) team in Saudi Arabia, you will be at the forefront of designing and managing intricate DevOps pipelines for a key client. Your expertise will contribute to the seamless integration of leading tools, ensuring the resilience and security of networking protocols and infrastructures. We are looking for hands-on expertise in using Python for automating tasks in cloud environments (VMware, OpenStack), IaC automation (Terraform), designing integration and automation patterns, etc. This role will be permanently on-site with a customer in Riyadh (KSA). Arabic language skills will be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage robust DevOps pipelines utilizing tools like GitLab, CircleCI, etc.
- Ensure seamless integration of DevOps tools, optimizing processes for efficiency.
- Examine technical prerequisites for Kubernetes deployments among prospective clients.
- Develop and deploy Kubernetes solutions tailored to meet customer demands.
- Lead the deployment and day-to-day functioning of Microservices solutions.
- Provide active support and management for customer environments, guaranteeing reliability and optimal performance.
- Oversee and optimize the CMP infrastructure, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate across teams, providing expert insights for issue resolution and enhancing deployment strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a DevOps position.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Python development.
- Proficient in deploying and troubleshooting Kubernetes environments, showcasing extensive expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud services and platforms, such as OpenStack and VMware.
- Familiarity with various container orchestration platforms, highlighting a versatile skill set.
- Experience in Linux system administration, covering distributions like RHEL and Ubuntu.
- Strong automation skills with Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with scripting languages Python, PowerShell, Bash.
- Expertise in managing and integrating DevOps tools, including GitLab, CircleCI, and SonarQube.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
- Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Good networking knowledge, focusing on deploying and managing networking and security tools, including F5 and Palo Alto.
