Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably Computer Science or a STEM discipline with a focus in Mathematics.
- A minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps role.
- Relevant certifications are highly preferred, including:
- AWS Solution Architect Associate/Professional
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) / Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKAD)
- RHCSA/RHCE (7/8)
Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration, and administration of Linux servers (Ubuntu & Amazon Linux).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and patching using industry best practices and tools.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or NodeJS.
- Knowledge of web and proxy servers (Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, HAproxy).
- Administration of AWS & Azure cloud infrastructures (EC2, RDS, S3, ECS, etc.).
- Expertise in designing network and application architecture across multiple clouds.
- Migration of workloads from on-premises to cloud environments.
- Implementation and administration of container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
- Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet).
- Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).
- Administration of CI/CD systems using tools like Jenkins.
- Strong experience with SQL & NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
- Familiar with monitoring and observability platforms (Elastic Stack, Grafana, Prometheus).
Skills
- Familiarity with impact assessments, release strategies, deployment methodologies, incident management, and change management.
- Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders.
