The Opportunity:
The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in our development team, ensuring the smooth deployment and operation of our software solutions. You will be responsible for the integration and automation of software development and deployment processes, facilitating continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure management.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Automate build, test, and deployment processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Manage and optimize cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
- Monitor applications and infrastructure for performance and security.
- Identify and resolve system bottlenecks, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Work closely with software developers to integrate DevOps practices into the development process.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for development and production environments.
- Implement and maintain security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay updated with emerging DevOps trends and technologies.
- Continuously improve system automation and deployment processes.
- Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management, and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans, and related risk assessments.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a DevOps role. Recent start-up experience is a nice to have.
- Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
