Overview

A Senior DevSecOps Engineer with a focus on Azure is a professional responsible for integrating security practices into the DevOps pipeline within the Microsoft Azure cloud environment. The role involves collaborating with development, operations, and security teams to ensure the seamless integration of security measures throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Practice DevSecOps Agile Culture:

  • Practice Agile Scrum to continuously develop DevOps incremental products and features.
  • Work within a blameless culture.
  • Contribute to developing our GitOps solution.
  • Embed security practices into the DevOps workflow, including CI/CD pipelines, to identify and address security issues early in the development process.
  • Implement automated security testing tools and techniques to ensure continuous security validation.

• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Ensure smooth and reliable functioning of the CI/CD systems.

• Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for security-related tasks and processes.
  • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Terraform to define and deploy secure infrastructure.

• Security Architecture and Design:

  • Design and implement security solutions in Azure, ensuring the protection of applications, data, and infrastructure.
  • Work closely with architects to embed security into the overall system architecture.
