The role also leads key functions such as Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR), business continuity, DevSecOps, and information assurance, serving as a key advisor to senior SVP Technology Risk and Compliance on emerging cybersecurity and technology risks.

Responsibilities:
- Cybersecurity Operations Oversight: Lead end-to-end cybersecurity operations, including threat monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and security analytics across AI and cloud infrastructure.
- Cybersecurity Resilience & DFIR: Oversee DFIR functions to ensure rapid response to cyber threats and implement resilience strategies aligned with evolving threat landscapes.
- Cybersecurity Governance & Risk Advisory: Support the implementation of cybersecurity governance and identify, evaluate, and communicate cybersecurity and technology risks.
- AI Systems Assurance: Conduct security assessments for AI systems to ensure security, privacy, and compliance across the model lifecycle and data pipelines.
- Enterprise & Security Architecture Advisory: Provide expertise in secure architecture for AI Cloud and integrations with cloud-native services.
- Policy Development and Compliance Monitoring: Lead the creation and enforcement of cybersecurity policies, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
- Information Assurance & Critical Projects: Oversee security assurance for strategic projects, ensuring controls are in place from inception to deployment.
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR): Validate BC/DR planning to ensure organizational resilience during disruptions.
- Cybersecurity Talent Management: Lead and mentor a high-performing cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of learning and improvement.
- DevSecOps Enablement: Collaborate with teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and guide secure software development practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory: Act as the liaison with security leads and provide strategic input on emerging threats and risk posture.
- Cloud Security Oversight: Drive security strategies and controls across G42’s cloud environments, aligning with data sovereignty and ethical AI standards.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Over 15 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance.
- Strong leadership background in cybersecurity operations, incident response, and security monitoring across cloud and on-premise ecosystems.
- Deep understanding of security frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, and GDPR.
- Proven ability to implement cybersecurity strategies that support business growth and regulatory compliance.
- Expertise in security architecture across multi-cloud and hybrid platforms, including Azure and AWS.
- Recognized industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
