Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement embedded security solutions for Linux-based and embedded operating system platforms.
- Integrate Secure Boot, Chain of Trust, TEE, TPMs, Secure Elements, and hardware-backed key storage mechanisms.
- Develop and maintain security-critical software components, services, libraries, drivers, and supporting tools used across embedded platforms and security infrastructure.
- Support the design, integration, and validation of secure communication architectures and networking security controls for embedded systems.
- Configure and harden embedded Linux systems through secure kernel configurations, service hardening, and access control mechanisms.
- Support integration and validation of cryptographic services, PKI solutions, certificate management systems, and device identity frameworks.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, operating system, networking, and application teams to ensure security requirements are implemented consistently.
- Perform security analysis, threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities.
- Develop and maintain software drivers and interfaces required for hardware security components and peripherals.
- Support secure provisioning, manufacturing security processes, key injection workflows, and secure device onboarding activities.
- Participate in security testing, verification, validation, and penetration testing activities.
- Contribute to security architecture reviews and provide technical recommendations for improving platform resilience.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline (Master's degree is an advantage).
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in embedded software development, embedded cybersecurity, embedded Linux development, or platform security engineering.
- Hands-on experience implementing security features in embedded systems.
- Experience developing and integrating software for embedded and Linux-based systems.
- Good understanding of networking concepts, communication protocols, and secure communication technologies used in embedded systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior hands-on experience enabling, integrating, and validating security features on Qualcomm-based platforms highly desirable.
- Experience with Qualcomm IQ-series platforms, Qualcomm Snapdragon, Qualcomm RB/QCS platforms, NVIDIA Jetson/Orin, NXP i.MX, STM32, or similar embedded platforms.
- Experience with Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, TrustZone, OP-TEE, PKCS#11, cryptographic libraries, and secure storage technologies.
- Experience with Linux kernel configuration, Linux hardening, and device driver development.
- Strong software development skills with proficiency in C, C++, Go, Rust, or Python.
- Experience in robotics, drones, automotive, industrial control systems, IoT, or other mission-critical embedded systems.
- Familiarity with ISO/SAE 21434, IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or equivalent industry practices.
