Position

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at the company, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software for avionics, flight control, and aerospace systems. Your key responsibilities will include implementing software for real-time systems to ensure low latency and high reliability of critical functions. You will collaborate with system engineers to translate control algorithms and requirements into embedded code, integrate software with hardware systems, and conduct testing to ensure functionality, performance, and safety compliance.

You'll be expected to develop software in line with industry standards such as DO-178C and DO-254, optimizing code for memory, power efficiency, and performance while following best practices. Maintaining documentation, including software design, code, and test results, is crucial. You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as hardware, systems, and QA to ensure seamless integration while identifying and resolving defects, anomalies, and performance issues through debugging and analysis. Staying updated with emerging technologies and industry practices will also be part of your role.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in aerospace or safety-critical domains
  • Strong hands-on expertise in C and C++ for embedded systems
  • Experience with microcontroller architectures such as ARM or STM32 and low-level hardware interfacing

Technical Competencies:

  • Strong expertise in C/C++ programming and embedded systems development
  • In-depth knowledge of microcontrollers and hardware interfacing
  • Solid understanding of real-time operating systems and real-time design principles
  • Experience with communication protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet

Location: Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time.
