We are seeking a vital member for our dynamic Mobile Development team. As a Senior Android Engineer, you will play a crucial role in researching, designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining high-performance Android applications that facilitate seamless and scalable transactions within the MENA region. Leveraging your proficiency in Android development, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining top-tier applications that provide an unparalleled user experience to our mobile users.
With a proven track record in connecting Android applications to backend services, you will work alongside a diverse group of talented engineers, designers, analysts, and product experts. Your role will involve understanding business requirements and translating them into technical solutions, ultimately transforming the shopping, payment, and banking experience for millions of users.

Your Responsibilities
- Research, design, test, deploy, and maintain high-performance Android applications for customers and partners.
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Kotlin code.
- Ensure optimal application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Conduct debugging and root cause analysis.
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Analyze and maintain product features.
Your Expertise
- 5+ years of relevant experience as an Android Engineer, with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK and familiarity with various Android versions and screen sizes.
- Experience with RESTful APIs for connecting Android applications to backend services.
- Knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Proficiency in offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
- Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces (e.g., “touch”).
- Familiarity with additional sensors, such as QR code scanning and fingerprint authentication.
- Understanding of the open-source Android ecosystem and relevant libraries.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
- Knowledge of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
- Proficiency in code versioning tools, such as Git (GitLab).
- Familiarity with continuous integration (GitLab CI/CD pipeline).
- A proactive, goal-oriented, reliable, and self-structured approach to work.
