We are seeking an experienced and innovative AI Engineer to join our data analytics AI platform development team. This role serves as a bridge between robust software engineering and modern AI/ML capabilities. Ideal candidates should be seasoned backend or full-stack developers who have expanded their expertise into the AI/ML domain and are passionate about building intelligent applications with the latest AI technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a robust and scalable inference layer for pluggable ML and LLM models as part of our in-house built data pipeline platform.
- Create agentic workflows to expose existing data transformations and analytics tools through a conversational interface, including integrating tools, prompt engineering, and conversation/context management.
- Manage Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines with vector database integration and context enrichment.
- Ensure secure, robust, and observable model integration by implementing evaluation pipelines and monitoring mechanisms.
- Stay updated on emerging AI trends and advise on their applicability to our platform.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, data engineers, and software architects to shape and implement technical solutions.
- Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management, and Governance policies.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, machine learning, engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering (backend or full-stack roles using Python, Java, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- 3+ years of practical experience working with AI/ML models in production environments.
- Proven experience with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face), vector search engines (e.g., FAISS, Weaviate, Qdrant), and ML inference frameworks.
- Solid understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, and model fine-tuning or customization.
- Familiarity with context/session management, multi-turn dialogue systems, and AI agent frameworks.
- Experience building evaluation frameworks for model performance and behavioral reliability.
- Knowledge of security, privacy, and ethical considerations in deploying AI solutions.
- Demonstrated passion for AI innovation and continuous learning.
Preferred:
- Experience with MLOps, deployment of models at scale, or fine-tuning custom models.
- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI function calling, or similar frameworks.
- Exposure to front-end development is a plus for full-stack candidates.
- Contributions to open-source AI projects or research is a bonus.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch) for various applications (NLP, image, video, audio, recommendation systems).
