About the Role: The company is looking for a Senior Engineer, Automation with experience in MEGA EPC projects to be based in Abu Dhabi Site for a PMC project. The role involves reviewing, analyzing, and coordinating the activities of process automation systems installations, providing technical expertise in engineering design, and contributing to process automation projects to ensure efficient systems. Job Purpose: - Review, analyze, and coordinate the activities of process automation systems installations. - Provide technical expertise in engineering design. - Contribute to process automation projects to ensure efficient system operations. Key Accountabilities: Job Specific: - Assess existing systems (ICS, DCS, Process Control Systems, and Real-Time Plant Information and Laboratory Management Systems) for obsolescence, spare parts availability, vendor support, interoperability, and integration for safe and reliable operation conforming to Company and International standards. - Audit the performance of systems and identify opportunities for process performance monitoring and improvements to maintain conformity to applicable standards. - Support the development and updating of technical specification documents and conduct economic feasibility studies to evaluate financial and technical viability of applications. - Develop system functional specifications, design & as-built documentation, user manuals, and training materials for minor modifications in existing applications. Coordinate with site maintenance personnel for vendor support, modifications, and upgrades. - Provide Technical & Engineering expertise in Real-time Process Information Management and Laboratory Information Management systems for plants. - Offer operational, technical, and engineering expertise in Optimization, Alarm Management, Control Loop Performance Monitoring, and higher level MES applications. - Develop scope of work, prepare tender documents, and participate in technical bid evaluations to meet systems requirements per Company standards and specifications. - Coordinate/participate in the implementation of approved projects including installation and commissioning and future upgrades, ensuring timely completion within budget. - Perform other similar or related duties as required. Generic: - Supervision: Plan, supervise, and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives. Train and develop assigned staff on relevant skills to enable proficiency on the job. - Budgets: Provide input for preparation of functional budgets and assist in implementation of approved budgets and work plans. Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control. - Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures: Implement approved Section/Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures to support execution of work programs in line with Company and International standards. - Performance Management: Contribute to achievement of approved performance objectives for the function in line with the Company Performance framework. - Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes. Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices to pursue greater efficiency and define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function. - Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability: Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards and Code of Practices. - Reports: Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills: Minimum Qualification: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Instrumentation / Automation Engineering or equivalent. Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills: - 15 years of experience in design, installation, commissioning, operations, maintenance, testing, and CS validation relating to automation systems within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry. Professional Certifications: - Relevant certifications preferred.
