Responsibilities:
- Maintain, analyze, enhance, and troubleshoot operations and business support systems.
- Manage multiple Operations & Business support systems, ensuring proper integration with existing company computer systems.
- Perform daily server maintenance related to applications, operating systems, and hardware.
- Provide operations support for the commercial and military Payload Control Center (PCC) and Satellite Control Center (SCC).
- Support Java-based operational applications on back-end servers and clients, including preventive maintenance and performance monitoring.
- Ensure security and protection of information systems (data backup, confidentiality, disaster recovery).
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues between various subsystems.
- Conduct growth analysis, capacity planning, and develop capital and operating budget proposals.
- Lead in administration and testing of datacenter backup, recovery, and disaster recovery technologies.
- Develop and implement training programs for users on operating systems, networking, applications, and databases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in hybrid server-client networks in a medium/large environment.
- Expertise in different versions of UNIX & Linux (Solaris, HPUX, Digital Unix, Red Hat, and Ubuntu).
- Knowledge of Windows network environment is a significant advantage (Windows servers, Active Directory, DNS, LDAP, DHCP).
- Proven experience in hardware and software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
