About the Role
The candidate will work in collaboration with the Architecture team, Delivery team, and Vendors to understand requirements and plan the delivery of cloud solutions. The role involves providing Level 3 support for Cloud, Windows, and Linux workloads. As a Senior Engineer in the Cloud Platform division, the candidate plays a leading role in scheduling implementation, liaising with all concerned to ensure installation priorities are met, documentation is completed, and customer disruption is minimized. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to both High-Level and Low-Level designs under the guidance of the Architecture team.

Responsibilities
- Implement, harden, test, and maintain Google Cloud, Azure, and Oracle Cloud platforms, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, networking, storage, compute, identity, Kubernetes, automation, and governance services.
- Manage access privileges across Azure, Oracle, and Google Cloud environments.
- Ensure security, reliability, scalability, performance, and availability of cloud-based solutions.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates using ARM templates and Terraform.
- Build, deploy, configure, harden, and test technical solutions following best practices.
- Automate repetitive cloud tasks and develop or modify scripts to meet business requirements.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Azure, Oracle, and Google Cloud environments and resolve performance, system, and operational issues.
- Implement and maintain cloud backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with DevOps and automation teams to streamline deployment and infrastructure management.
- Work with Architecture, Delivery, Project, Network, Security, Development, Vendor, and Customer teams to understand requirements and plan solution delivery.
- Provide Level 3 support for Cloud, Windows, and Linux workloads, including detailed troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Contribute to High-Level and Low-Level solution designs under the guidance of the Architecture team.
- Schedule and coordinate implementations while ensuring priorities are met, documentation is completed, and customer disruption is minimized.
- Implement Azure Policy, Google Organization Policy, policy-as-code, and preventive governance controls.
- Remediate issues identified through Azure and Google Cloud platform consoles.
- Implement and maintain Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Google Security Command Center, and associated security services.
- Configure encryption, Azure Key Vault, Google Cloud KMS, certificate management, and secrets-management services.
- Maintain Grafana dashboards and alerts and Prometheus monitoring across cloud environments.
- Manage log pipelines through Sentinel integration and App Insights.
- Operate API management, databases, and integration platforms, including Day-2 operations.
- Implement AI and cloud resources following well-architected framework recommendations.
- Provision, operate, and manage Azure AKS, Google GKE, Oracle OKE, and Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
- Implement and maintain Microsoft infrastructure technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy, LAPS, SCCM/WSUS, BitLocker, and PKI/CA.
- Manage and support Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu Linux environments.
- Develop technical standards and maintain repositories for deliverables, methodologies, and deployment documentation.
- Ensure appropriate performance and diagnostic tools are used to test solutions and validate changes.
- Oversee vendor activities where required and ensure successful implementation and transition to support teams.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Accreditations e.g., CKA/CKAD, Azure/GCP/OCI associate or professional level, ITIL foundation.
Skills & Experience:
- At least 10 years of related IT experience with a minimum of 5 years in Cloud environments.
- Proven experience as an Azure, Oracle, or Google Platform Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on deploying and managing Azure/GCP/Oracle IaaS and PaaS infrastructure, with an emphasis on Kubernetes workloads.
- Experience in managing cloud platform operations at scale.
- Experience in a senior technical support capacity (L3).
- Effective communication, facilitation, and influencing skills; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
- Knowledge of and experience implementing Microsoft infrastructure technologies with best practices.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPN, DNS, load balancers, and firewalls.
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift.
- Ability to write scripts in PowerShell; a good understanding of automation in the cloud.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates or Terraform.
- IT Infrastructure deployment experience including troubleshooting, design, and implementation.
- Experience with transformation projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams.
- Advantageous to have worked with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) implementations and management.
