We are seeking a Senior Container Platform Engineer to support the deployment, automation, optimization, and operational management of Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms across enterprise environments. In this role, you will work closely with platform architects, infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native platforms supporting enterprise applications, managed services, and AI-driven workloads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Container Platform Engineering:

    • Deploy, configure, upgrade, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across private and hybrid cloud environments.
    • Implement scalable, resilient, and secure container platform solutions aligned with architectural and operational standards.
    • Support lifecycle management and operational maturity of platform services.
  • Automation & Infrastructure as Code:

    • Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.
    • Support GitOps workflows, CI/CD integrations, and platform automation initiatives.
    • Improve operational efficiency through standardization and automation.
  • Monitoring, Reliability & Operations:

    • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
    • Support capacity planning, performance optimization, scalability, and resiliency initiatives.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform, networking, storage, and orchestration issues.
  • Security & Compliance:

    • Ensure Kubernetes and OpenShift environments comply with security standards and operational best practices.
    • Support secure platform configurations, access management, and operational governance controls.
    • Contribute to platform hardening and compliance initiatives.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

    • Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and application teams to improve developer experience and platform adoption.
    • Evaluate new technologies and enhancements within the cloud-native ecosystem.
    • Contribute to technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.
    • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience managing Kubernetes and/or OpenShift environments at scale.
  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes/OpenShift administration, deployment, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Strong Linux systems administration and scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
  • Experience implementing observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Elasticsearch, or similar platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with container networking, ingress controllers, and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) concepts.
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio.
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud, private cloud, and OpenStack environments.
  • Exposure to AI/ML workloads running on Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms.
  • Relevant Kubernetes, OpenShift, Linux, or cloud certifications.
