Work Conditions: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer and optimize the company Data Centre Network (DCN) infrastructure, including traffic optimization and hardware utilization.
- Plan and implement network security optimizations regularly.
- Provide technical resolution and escalation support for operations and vendor engagements.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root-cause analysis within defined SLAs.
- Review and approve hardware and cabling for infrastructure expansion.
- Design scalable WAN/LAN architectures and network connectivity solutions.
- Prepare and review User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documentation.
- Develop and maintain network automation scripts using Python.
- Support software-defined networking (SDN) technologies.
- Manage and document all network changes and deployments.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IP network implementation and operations.
- Strong understanding of L2/L3 networking concepts (Ethernet, IPv4, and IPv6).
- Hands-on experience with network virtualization and tunneling technologies (e.g., VRF, VXLAN).
- Expertise in routing protocols (BGP and OSPF).
- Experience with Layer 7 firewalls and Ethernet encryption technologies.
- Strong scripting/programming skills using Python.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems (CentOS/RHEL).
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience in cloud computing or hyperscale data centre environments.
- Industry certifications in networking or cloud technologies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- GCC driving license is an advantage.
Language Requirements: Proficiency in English is expected; additional language skills are advantageous.
