You will be responsible for optimizing network performance, conducting advanced troubleshooting, and supporting the deployment of large-scale transmission infrastructure. Collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors is essential to ensure that the company's network solutions meet high standards of reliability, efficiency, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage DCI infrastructure using DWDM/OTN technologies.
- Lead advanced L3 troubleshooting and incident resolution for complex transmission and optical network environments.
- Plan and optimize network capacity, traffic flows, and infrastructure utilization for growing cloud and HPC demands.
- Develop and review High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD) to align with best practices.
- Manage deployments, upgrades, maintenance activities, and change requests across data center environments.
- Collaborate with internal teams, WAN providers, and technology vendors to deliver scalable network solutions.
- Oversee network testing and acceptance, maintaining documentation of network configurations and processes.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives across teams.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with DWDM/OTN technologies in DCI or large-scale network environments.
- Strong expertise in optical transmission networks, including, but not limited to, Flex Grid, Coherent optical transmission, and Layer 1 encryption.
- Solid knowledge of fiber optic infrastructure and hands-on experience with testing equipment.
- Good understanding of IP networking concepts and their integration with transport layers.
- Familiarity with cloud and HPC interconnect requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Vendor certifications in optical/network technologies (e.g., Ciena, Nokia).
- Experience in large-scale, mission-critical, or hyperscale environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
The role is full-time and will be conducted on-site in Abu Dhabi.
