We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, system administrators, and quality assurance professionals to design, implement, and maintain our robust DevOps infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include leading the development and implementation of automation tools and processes to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our software applications and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the company's DevOps strategy and roadmap, in alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery and deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams to incorporate automated testing, quality assurance, and security practices into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Enhance and optimize infrastructure and systems for improved performance, scalability, and security.
- Monitor system performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Implement and manage deployment automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
- Maintain and improve the company's cloud infrastructure utilizing services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Advocate for and enforce best practices in version control, code review, continuous integration, and deployment.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Experience and Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 7+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferable in a senior role.
- 3+ years of experience in a production, customer-facing environment.
- Strong expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
- Solid understanding of Linux internals and experience with large-scale UNIX/Linux based infrastructures.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and infrastructure management.
- Extensive experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles with proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Understanding of networking principles and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting complex issues in distributed systems.
- Proven background working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
