Senior Engineer - DPI & Intelligent Traffic Analysis Center

The main purpose of this position is to manage the UAE TDRA Regulatory Compliance scope to fulfill the Internet Access Management policies on various platforms: Android, IOS, Windows, and Linux, and conclude the application behavior in detail. The job also requires monitoring and reporting to maintain and improve overall end-to-end application analysis and detection in the telco environment. It primarily involves the analysis of Internet Applications, Web Content, VOIP, and VPN Application behavior and protocol patterns, followed by deep packet analysis of specific applications on Android/IOS/Windows platforms to conclude application functionality more precisely.

Key Accountabilities

• Handle 1st and 2nd level support cases professionally and independently via all the Service Operations Channel.
• Provide excellent, dedicated, and proactive support services for VAS Business, Regulatory Affairs & TDRA.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to the Service Operations Center, Enterprise Customer Service, and Consumer Service Assurance.
• Work with higher-tier support teams and perform live troubleshooting sessions for P1 & P2 Cases.
• Conduct deep problem investigations on Internet Applications and Web Content Traffic.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering / BSc in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications/Computer Science.
• Experience with Deep Packet Inspection and Web Content Filtering Products.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Perl or Python.
• Experience with Mobile Applications Architecture, Functional Testing, Performance Testing, and Deep Analysis of Applications.

Skills

• Deep Packet Inspection, Advanced Firewalls, Web Content Filtering, IPS, IDS, among others.
• Knowledge of Software (OS, VOIP/VPN Protocols, Client-Server Architecture & More).
• Mobile Handsets Expertise, including Mobile Radio Access Technology, Device Performance, and Functions.
• Strong Computer Networking Knowledge, especially regarding Routers and Switches (Setup and Configurations).
