As a Senior Engineer, you will be crucial to the engineering team, utilizing your technical expertise in cryptography and software development (specifically in Rust) to drive innovation and achieve organizational goals. This role requires technical leadership and the ability to execute engineering projects efficiently in an agile manner, ensuring high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement, validate, and document both sub-system and system level embedded designs in firmware (Verilog) and software (Rust, C) for secure communication devices.
- Analyze and debug embedded systems to guarantee stability, reliability, and performance.
- Implement test cases for automation of the developed embedded devices.
- Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery while meeting timelines and quality standards.
- Drive technical improvements and automation by identifying opportunities.
Education and Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
Key Skills:
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a collaborative mindset.
- Solid understanding of agile development principles and experience working in self-organizing, cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience with software/firmware development in at least two of the following: Rust, FPGA (Verilog), C (including Linux kernel, boot loaders, FreeRTOS).
- Familiarity with Linux-based systems using Yocto.
- Domain knowledge in IP communications over Ethernet networks, remote management of network infrastructure, cryptography, or audio processing.
- Experience with continuous integration practices and test automation (Robot Framework is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of information security and communications security, including cryptography.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and working proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git.
- Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (JTAG).
Location: United Arab Emirates (On-site)
Work Conditions: Full-time
Salary: The base salary for the role will be around EUR 6,000, depending on the candidate's experience.
